Teutonia Männerchor Dress Codes (updated August 2024)
At the September 2021 General Membership meeting, a vote was taken by the Membership to add a third category to the Teutonia Männerchor dress code. The new dress category, Business Casual, was approved for various functions at the Männerchor.
Along with a description of the new Business Casual class, a clearer definition of our existing Traditional and Relaxed/Casual dress codes follows.
The category of Smart Casual was added to the Dress Code in August 2024 to define the minimum acceptable dress in the Sängerhalle when no other requirement is specified herein or in official Teutonia event notifications from the club.

Notes
- If there is no specific dress code in the event listing for the Ratskeller or Biergarten, you can assume that it is relaxed / casual dress unless it takes place in the Sängerhalle.
-
Typically, events in the Sängerhalle will be Traditional or Business Casual unless otherwise specified (ex. Wing Nights are casual). When the dress code is not specified Smart Casual is the minimum requirement in Sängerhalle.
-
The dress code for our activities will be specified in the event descriptions which can be found in Teutonia weekly events emails usually emailed weekly on Tuesday mornings to all members.
-
Please ensure that you respect our various dress codes and if bringing guests, they are also aware of the dress code for specific events as to avoid embarrassment.
-
Our Door Committee has the right to refuse entry to any person not observing the appropriate event dress code. Thank you for understanding.
